Being 58 years old and having been a volunteer for 22+ years I totally agree with yoy on the issue of being able to ride ON the truck rather than walking along the side or behind. I absolutely hate driving a squad at a grass fire with a fellow firefighter walking somewhere beside my truck- not knowing exactly where he is at all times and fearing that I might run over him. I also agree with the fast moving grass fire being uncontrollable with the walk along method. Good luck in your effort to change the "good old ways" of fighting wildland fires and hopefully we can move on to the 21st Century.

Just wanted to thank you and your crew for a truck that is perfect for our dept. Your/our truck is the first one out of the station on every call. House fires to garbage cans fires, from mva's to cows on the highway its running on every call. Our neighboring depts have called for mutual aid and have asked for the minuteman, and we are glad to bring it. One dept. that is auto-aidded for structure fire responded one night and commented that when they turned on the highway 6 miles away that they could see the flames from there. We got into the house and let the minuteman eat and by the time they got there the fire was nothing but some heat and smoke. They thought we were going to be there all night. The CAFS system is the best thing that has happened to this dept for a long time. Again thanks for a truck that we are very proud of. Tod Matthias
